Keeping Motivated In the Summer

Look out for some special Summer Offers!

June 10th 2024

With temperatures very similar to late Winter, it’s hard to believe that we are now in the Summer season. Hopefully, we will get some warmer weather before long, but at least we have the wonderful light evenings. There are often more activities during the evenings at this time of year, particularly for those with children. Even a walk around the local park is a a welcome treat as long as it’s not raining.

Classes do tend to become quieter during the Summer months, and there may be temporary changes to the timetable - for example back-to-back classes may be merged into one class. Do keep your eye on the timetable and announcements on Facebook etc. for changes.

If you were thinking of taking up Pilates, this could be the ideal time to start, as classes might be a little quieter and calmer! It might also be the time to introduce young adult friends or family to Pilates for them to try it out. You could take the opportunity to try a different class, or treat yourself to a 1-1 session to really fine-tune your technique and get more out of your regular classes.

As with any form of exercise, the best results come from attending as regularly as possible. Don’t forget, there are day-time classes available including online sessions. You are welcome to attend a different classes to your usual one if you are away on the day. Stay stronger and flexible for longer and have the stamina to enjoy whatever activities to decide to embark upon - even if it’s simply mowing the lawn!
